Use blogs was very nice and interesting because I had never written blogs before I only knew the word blog. Sometimes, at the beginning, when we had to write, it was difficult for me because I had no ideas or simply did not know how to start, I was little afraid of being wrong and with the free topic I had a kind of mini collapse because it blocked me and I didn’t know what to write about but it happened quickly, now I would even add more free topics.  It was fascinating to read the opinions of my colleagues about all the different topics that we wrote since a short biography of ourselves, why we chose our career or who we admire and know their points of view. I think that improve my skills to write in english and expanded my vocabulary. In my opinión is a good methodology because I think that grammar is the base to learn a new language, besides writting improves our ability to express ourselves.

In this weird and different semester online without know how works every subject in a normal semester even without knowing the faculty or anything, I would say that my favorite subject could be General Chemistry I. We have chairs and seminars, they teach us to interpret transformations of matter, solve qualitative and quantitative problems and scientific method from chemistry. We start with atomic theory, atomic structure and periodic system, then we saw chemical bond where we study the different types of bonds and molecular forms, also nomenclature where we name different inorganic compounds and a little of quantum chemistry. Lately we are studying different types of chemical reactions and how to balace them. I like Chemistry because Chemistry is life and is an excellent way to understand the world that we live in. I really enjoy study this subject, sometimes is a little bit difficult but I still love it.

Joan Massagué graduated in pharmacy at the University of Barcelona. In 1982, he moved to Brown University, where he discovered the insulin receptor. In 1989 he began to lead the department of cell biology and genetics at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he accepts the direction of the cancer biology and genetics program in 2003. His research has been key to know the mechanisms that allow to stop cell proliferation. Thanks to his work, it has been posible to identify the genes that control the metastasis of tumor cells from breast cancer to other organs.   Chemistry and pharmacy is a career with a lot of labor field. It is an important profession for our society, because our own survival depends lagerly on medicines. They are primarly responsable for improving people ' s health, through the development and dispensing of medicines and educating about how they should be used. They acquire a comprehensive training and belonging to different fields that will allow you to have a broad vision, addressing different areas related to health sciences. It is common t osee them working in pharmacies, but that is only a part of everything they can do, because their extensive training and knowledge can be performed in various areas such as legal medical service, pharmaceutical laboratories, drug marketing, teaching, research among others. This photograph is very special to me because it marks a before and an after in my life and at holidays. It was taken on December 24, 2018 that was the last Christmas I spent with my two special people together, my dad and my sister. We prepared dinner (it was actually my sister who cooked) and the atmosphere was a little depressed because that year was quite complicated in every posible way but especially in the emotional and family way, because my parents separated and my father left home and also the relationship with my mother was broke. So when twelve o'clock came we were going to exchange gifts my dad had the brilliant idea to deliver the gifts dancing. The three of us had a great time together that day and we laughed too much. I really like this photo maybe it is not the best photography or doesn't it have the best quality but it reflects all my dad’s personality and follies because he always tells funny jokes, he’s always dancing and he always cheers me up....

Due to the pandemic we have all had to stay at home to take care of our health and also the health of the people around us. At first, when the first cases of COVID-19 arrived in Chile, I was not very worried because I had my mind on other things and where I live everything was calm but it was the calm before the storm (drama intensifies). After, as everywhere people began to panic and went to the supermarket to fight for toilet paper and chlorine, the first cases came and people kept going out as if was not nothing to worry about, even today when I went to buy I saw people without mask or worse people with the mask wrong. And now I am very worried because that a neighbor of my father died of coronavirus and his partner's mother has coronavirus. It is important to note that this is my first year of university so I was excited but because of the pandemic I have not been able to meet the faculty or my classmates and it is difficult for me socialize in these conditions. ...
